Here’s another of my neighbor’s houses. A five hundred pound man lived here, although I could never tell which of his falling down dwellings was actually the “house” and which was the barn. He got around by riding on his ATV – the Alaskan equivalent of a wheelchair. It boggles my mind how many Alaskan homes are made out of thin particle board walls. I don’t know how these people don’t freeze to death in the winter, but this style of house is actually quite common.
